HYDERABAD: It was a double whammy for the family of Pabba Sainath, 27, a marketing executive with a private firm, as they not only lost a youngster in a
car accident at Karmanghat in the early hours of Sunday , but also the sole bread winner.
Sainath had been shouldering the responsibility of his family since he was 21 after his father’s demise.
“He was just 21 when he started working, soon after his father died, almost seven years ago.
My sister is a housewife and he started working at a young age because he wanted to contribute financially for the family. He started his career at a low position, but became achieved success with hard work,” said Sainath's maternal uncle KV Srinivas told TOI.
Sainath, a resident of Saraswathi Nagar in Saidabad, was meeting college friends after a long time and decided to go out partying on Saturday night. “When he told us he was going out for a party, we asked him to go in a car instead of taking his bike, fearing for his safety. We presumed it will be a safer option for him to go in a car. However, we found that all of them (four) were drunk when the accident occurred. We had on several occasions warned and explained to him not to drive under the influence of alcohol or encourage other to do so,” Srinivas added.
According to the family, they found out about the incident late at night through his friends. “I saw the body, and I don't think my sister and niece can see that. That's why I am here in the mortuary, with other relatives. The family, especially my sister, has been in a state of shock after losing her husband, now she lost her son too,” he added.
