Dharwad: A special nationwide campaign titled ‘Samadhan Samaroha' will be conducted from Aug 21 to 23, 2026, to facilitate the settlement of pending cases through Lok Adalats. The initiative is being organised under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, in coordination with state, district, and taluk legal services authorities.
The campaign aims to resolve a wide range of cases pending in courts through amicable settlements. These include civil disputes, family matters, motor accident claims, railway accident cases, consumer disputes, bank recovery cases, cheque bounce cases, land acquisition compensation matters, labour and employment disputes, service-related cases, revenue matters, property disputes, and criminal compoundable cases, among others.
As part of the drive, parties involved in pending cases will be encouraged to opt for negotiated settlements through special Lok Adalats. The objective is to reduce the burden on courts while ensuring speedy and cost-effective justice to litigants.
In Dharwad district, arrangements have been made to identify eligible cases and facilitate settlements. Cases pending before various courts, including those at different stages of litigation, will be taken up during the campaign.
Litigants are being given an opportunity to resolve their disputes voluntarily with mutual consent.
The District Legal Services Authority, Dharwad, along with taluk legal services committees at Hubballi, Kundgol, Kalghatgi, and Navalgund, will play a key role in implementing the initiative. Parties concerned are requested to approach these offices with relevant documents to participate in the settlement process.
Officials have urged litigants to make use of this opportunity to resolve disputes efficiently, avoid prolonged litigation, and secure timely justice through compromise and conciliation mechanisms.
