Hubballi: Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) Commissioner Rudresh Ghali said self-enumeration for the Census was set to begin in Hubballi-Dharwad from April 1, and the public should participate in the process and provide their household details.Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Ghali said registration will be done via mobile number on the website https://se.census.gov.in provided by the Union govt. "People should select their location, identify their house on the map, and answer 33 questions with the details of the household. A reference ID number that comes after that should be given to the enumerators who will visit houses after April 15," he added.

He further said, "Field inspection would be done after April 16. During this period, the enumerators will visit houses and check the details. If self-enumeration was not completed, the enumerators would collect the information themselves. As many as 2,628 staff were already appointed for Census work in the HDMC. Staff from many departments, including the education department, revenue department and the municipal corporation, were involved.
Each enumerator was given responsibility for enumeration of 180 houses. In the wake of the Census work, a training workshop was organised on April 3, 4 and 5 to provide training to the enumerators assigned in the limits of the corporation. Staff of zonal offices 1, 3 and 12 in Dharwad will be trained at JSS College." He said it was also planned to provide training to the staff of zonal office 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 at Mahila Polytechnic, IBMR College in Hubballi."HDMC superintending engineer Vijay Kumar R, HDMC deputy commissioner (admin) Anuradha Vastrad and others were present.
