Pact on cardiac care inked

Bagalkot: The SDM Narayana Heart Centre, Dharwad, has signed a clinical agreement with Aski Super Speciality Hospital to provide specialised heart treatment services in Bagalkot. Under the agreement, cardiologists and cardiac surgeons from SDM Narayana Heart Centre, part of the Narayana Health network, will offer consultations, interventional procedures and surgeries at Aski Hospital. The collaboration aims to make advanced heart care accessible locally, reducing the need for patients to travel to Dharwad and other cities for specialised treatment. Dr Vijay Singh, Karnataka Cluster Director of Narayana Health, told reporters Aski Hospital is equipped with a state-of-the-art cathlab facility, enabling comprehensive cardiac diagnosis and interventions. "Our heart specialists will be stationed here to provide regular services. Additional experts will visit as required. We will extend full support in heart check-ups, treatment and surgeries," he said. Dr Preeti Aski, CMD of Aski Super Speciality Hospital, said the hospital has completed one year of operations, during which it has treated around 10,000 outpatients and over 1,000 inpatients.
