New Delhi: A robbery left two cousins injured after they were allegedly threatened with a sack needle and assaulted by four scooter-borne men. The incident took place near Kalkadas Chowk in central Delhi’s Karol Bagh around 11.30 pm on Monday. A patrolling team from the DBG road police station apprehended two suspects at the spot. They were identified as Dinesh (24) and Raj Kumar (29).Police said the cousins were returning to Siddhipura from Naiwala when they were allegedly intercepted by four men near Kalkadas Chowk. One of the scooter-borne assailants allegedly brandished a sack needle and threatened the duo to hand over their belongings. Another accused pushed one of the cousins to the ground, causing injuries to his forehead, while the other sustained injuries to his chest and arm in the altercation.The accused allegedly robbed the victims of Rs 1,000 in cash, identity documents and mobile phones.On spotting patrolling police personnel, the accused allegedly attempted to flee. Two of them were apprehended after a brief chase, while the remaining two managed to escape. Both of the arrested accused have previous involvement.
