Man gets 20 years in jail for sexual assault on minor

Hisar: A Hisar court has sentenced a youth to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexual assault on a minor. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1.41 lakh on the convict.Additional Sessions Judge Sunil Jindal, while delivering the verdict, observed that sexual offences against children were extremely alarming for society and strict punishment was necessary to deter such crimes.The case was registered in April 2025 in the HTM police station area. On April 9, 2025, the accused, Kamal, lured the minor and committed unnatural sex with her. He also hit the child with a stone, causing injuries.The victim was found unconscious and rushed to a hospital after her condition deteriorated. Medical examination and the doctor's report confirmed sexual abuse, following which the police registered a case under the POCSO Act and other serious sections.MSID:: 131393192 413 |
