The proposed bridge, estimated to cost Rs 32.5 crore, will be 333.9 metres long and 14 metres wide, with three lanes. At present, the existing two-lane bridge is unable to handle traffic, causing frequent jams for residents of Extension Sectors 23–28. Once completed in 24 months, one-way traffic will operate on both bridges, easing congestion permanently.
Jal Dhara Beautification
The second project, costing Rs 95.42 crore, will revamp two nullahs — one from Mata Mansa Devi Mandir to Rajeev-Indira Colony (5.6 km) and Singh Nullaha from Sector 1 to the Industrial Area (5.3 km). Currently in poor condition, these channels suffer from stagnant water, foul smell, mosquito breeding, and garbage dumping. The plan includes a 1.5m wide precast central channel, RCC retaining walls, GI fencing, cycle and walking tracks, steel bridges, street lighting, and landscaping. tnn
