MP’s handicrafts & tribal artifacts shine at Crafts Bazaar
Bhopal: A wide array of handicrafts and tribal artifacts from Madhya Pradesh are on display at the Crafts Bazaar in Bharat Mandapam for the foreign delegates attending the G20 Summit. Renowned crafts of the state are also being displayed under One District-One Product in the MP Pavilion of this craft market being held on September 9 and September 10.

The pavilion boasts an impressive assortment of items available for exhibition and purchase, encompassing Chanderi Sarees, Maheshwari Sarees, Bagh and boutique prints, Sidhi carpets, iron crafts, metal artifacts, Gond paintings, jute carry bags, file covers, leather bags, bamboo mats, and zari work, among others.
Within the state pavilion, visitors can witness a live demonstration of the intricate Nandana Block Prints, a renowned hand block printing artistry hailing from Tarapur. This demonstration is conducted by Pawan Jharia, who was honored with the National Award in 2017 for his mastery of this craft.
Gond paintings, Maheshwari Saris and Bhil jewellery of MP are also being displayed in TRIFED's Tribes India Pavilion in the crafts market. Padma Shri awardee for the year 2023, Paresh Rathwa is giving a live demonstration of the ritualistic Pithora painting of Bhil, Bhilala, Nayak and Rathwa tribes in this pavilion.
Moreover, the pavilion is equipped with both national and international card swipe facilities, facilitating seamless digital payments for buyers.
To further enhance the eco-friendly ethos of the event, all purchased products will be thoughtfully packed in eco-friendly paper bags.
In addition, a Forex counter, courteously provided by the State Bank of India, has been set up within the craft market for the convenience of attendees.
