Man beheaded with axe by kin over black magic suspicion in Madhya Pradesh; accused arrested
JABALPUR: Less than 24 hours after a man, in the grip of a depraved and murderous rage, hammered a boy to death before eating his flesh and drinking the minor's blood in MP's Damoh, another terrifying incident shook neighbouring Jabalpur district. In the latest, a 50-year-old man was allegedly abducted and beheaded with an axe by his relative and an accomplice over suspicion of practising black magic, police said on Friday.The chilling incident occurred in Bisnapur village in Kundam police station area.

According to the police, the accused, identified as Pitti Yadav who is related to the victim, and his friend Madhu Shah, unleashed a brutal assault on Bhura Lal Yadav, the victim, at his house on Tuesday late night. They allegedly abused him and attacked him with sticks and an axe after accusing him of practising black magic.As the victim's brother, Nanhelal Yadav, and his son, Suresh Yadav, rushed to intervene, the accused allegedly assaulted them as well, leaving them with injuries to the head, face and an eye.Police said the accused then forcibly took Bhura Lal away from the spot, threatening to kill him. Nanhelal, subsequently, lodged a complaint with the police based on which, Kundam police initially registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and launched a search for the missing man.
During the investigation, police nabbed both suspects and questioned them about Bhura Lal's whereabouts."We traced and arrested the two accused. During interrogation, they confessed to killing Bhura Lal, as they suspected him of practising black magic," Kundam police station in-charge, Satish Kumar Andhwan, told TOI.
