Drug peddler arrested

Kaushambi: Police arrested a drug peddler identified as Dawloo Pal, a resident of Ghazipur, and seized around 105 kg of illegal ganja worth Rs 50 lakh, a car, a mobile set, and Rs 9,870 cash from his possession on Thursday. The arrest was made near Maqdoompur Road during a vehicle checking drive while he was carrying the drug consignment for Delhi.The consignment brought from Bihar was to be delivered in Delhi. The drug peddler, involved in drug smuggling for past one year, was paid Rs 30,000 per trip for delivery from Bihar to Delhi, said police.
