Labourer found murdered at Vatva-GIDC

AHMEDABAD: The body of a labourer was found near Vinzol village on the outskirts of Vatva on Sunday.
The police control room was intimated by passers-by about a body lying beside the road connecting Vatva and Vinzol.
The police reached the spot and called a team from the forensic science laboratory. Vatva-GIDC police inspector K J Soni said, "Residents of the area could not identify the deceased.A telephone dairy found on his person helped identify him. The deceased, Ramesh Makwana (35), who had relatives in Ranipur township of Vatva,were contacted."
Police said that Makwana worked in a screen-printing unit. Deep gashes on his neck and a stab wound in his stomach prompted the police to lodge a case of murder.According to preliminary investigations, Makwana had left home on Saturday night along with a friend.
