Alliance standings across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the numbers are shifting rapidly. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115 seats, with 10 declared wins and leads in 105 more, leaving them just 3 short of the majority mark. SPA has a tally of 60, with 7 won and 53 leading, while NDA is at 55, all leads and no declared wins yet. In West Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark of 148 on tally, sitting at 179 across 11 won seats and leads in 168 constituencies. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won seats and leads in 104. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. Puducherry, with a majority mark of 16 in its 30-seat assembly, sees NDA holding a tally of 18, with 13 seats already declared in its favour and leads in 5 more, putting it past the majority threshold on current trends. SPA has a tally of 5 in Puducherry, with 2 won and 3 leading. In Kerala, where 71 seats are needed for a majority across 140 constituencies, UDF leads the count with a tally of 87, including 68 declared wins and leads in 19 seats, comfortably past the majority mark if those leads hold. LDF has a tally of 36, with 30 won and 6 leading. Independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively account for a tally of 17 seats in Kerala.
