Alliance tallies live across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the numbers are shifting rapidly. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats mark the majority in a 234-seat house, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively lead in enough contests to hold a tally of 115, just 3 short of that mark, with 10 seats already decided in their favour and leads in 105 more. SPA sits at a tally of 60, having won 7 and leading in 53, while NDA is at 55 on leads alone. In West Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark of 148 on tally, standing at 179 across 11 won seats and leads in 168, in a 294-seat assembly. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leading, while candidates from other parties or independents cumulatively lead in 8 seats. In Puducherry, NDA holds a tally of 18 in the 30-seat house that requires 16 for a majority, with 13 seats already won and leads in 5 more, putting it ahead of the majority mark on tally. SPA has a tally of 5 there. In Kerala, UDF leads with a tally of 87 in the 140-seat assembly where 71 is the majority mark, having won 68 and leading in 19. LDF is at a tally of 36, with 30 won and 6 leading. Candidates from other parties or independents cumulatively account for a tally of 17 in Kerala.
