Alliance standings across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states with leads still shifting in several constituencies. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115 seats, with 10 declared and 105 leading, leaving them just 3 short of the majority mark. SPA has a tally of 60 seats, with 7 won and 53 leading, while NDA is at 55, all in leads with none yet declared. In West Bengal, BJP is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat house if those leads hold. BJP has won 11 and is leading in 168 more, giving it a tally of 179. TMC has won 2 and is leading in 104, putting its tally at 106. Candidates from other parties or independents cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has crossed the majority mark of 16 in the 30-seat assembly on current trends, with 13 seats won and 5 leading for a tally of 18. SPA has a tally of 5, with 2 won and 3 leading. Candidates from other parties or independents cumulatively account for a tally of 7 in Puducherry, with 5 won and 2 leading. In Kerala, UDF is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 71 in the 140-seat assembly if those leads hold. UDF has won 68 and is leading in 19 more for a tally of 87. LDF has won 30 and is leading in 6, giving it a tally of 36. Candidates from other parties or independents cumulatively hold a tally of 17 in Kerala, with 13 won and 4 leading.
