Alliance standings across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the numbers are shifting rapidly. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats mark the majority in a 234-seat house, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively lead in enough seats to hold a tally of 115, just 3 short of that mark. SPA has a tally of 60, with 7 seats won and 53 leads, while NDA is at 55 seats on leads alone. In West Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark of 148 on tally, standing at 179 seats across 11 won and 168 leads in the 294-seat assembly, if those leads hold. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leading seats. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 16 in the 30-seat house, with 13 seats won and 5 leads giving it a tally of 18. SPA has a tally of 5 there, with 2 won and 3 leading. In Kerala, UDF holds a tally of 87 across 68 won and 19 leading seats in the 140-seat assembly, well past the majority mark of 71 if those leads hold. LDF trails with a tally of 36, comprising 30 won and 6 leading seats. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 seats in Kerala.
