Alliance tallies shift across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and results are taking shape at a brisk pace. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115 seats, with 10 declared wins and 105 leads, leaving them just 3 seats short of the majority mark if current trends hold. SPA has a tally of 60, with 7 won and 53 leading, while NDA is at 55 seats, all in leads. In West Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat house, holding a tally of 179, comprising 11 won seats and 168 leads. TMC trails with a tally of 106, from 2 won and 104 leading seats. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA leads the 30-seat assembly with a tally of 18, having already won 13 seats and leading in 5, crossing the majority mark of 16. SPA has a tally of 5 in Puducherry, with 2 won and 3 leading. In Kerala, UDF holds a tally of 87 in the 140-seat house, with 68 declared wins and 19 leads, comfortably past the majority mark of 71. LDF trails with a tally of 36, from 30 won and 6 leading seats. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 seats in Kerala.
