Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has won 13 and is leading in 5 more for a tally of 18, crossing the majority mark of 16 in the 30-seat assembly, with SPA at a tally of 5. Kerala tells a similar story at the top, with UDF holding a tally of 87 across 68 won and 19 leading seats in the 140-seat house, well past the majority mark of 71, while LDF trails on a tally of 36.
