Alliance tallies shift across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the numbers are moving quickly. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively lead in enough seats to hold a tally of 115, just three short of that mark, with 10 seats already decided in their favour. SPA has a tally of 60, with 7 seats won and 53 leads, while NDA is at 55 seats on leads alone. In West Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark of 148 on its tally, leading in 168 constituencies with 11 seats won for a combined tally of 179 across the 294-seat house. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leads. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has won 13 seats and leads in 5 more for a tally of 18, crossing the majority mark of 16 in the 30-seat assembly, with SPA at a tally of 5. In Kerala, UDF has won 68 of the 140 seats and leads in 19 more for a tally of 87, well past the majority mark of 71. LDF has a tally of 36, with 30 seats won and 6 leads.
