Tokyo 2020: India end 41-year medal drought in Field Hockey; Twitter erupts in joy

The morning started with the glorious news of India ensuring a podium finish after winning bronze medal in the third place match played against Germany in Field Hockey in Tokyo Games. The high-octane match ended with a scoreline of 5-4 in India's favour.
This made the sports fans go crazy and immediately Twitter was full of congratulatory tweets. People started praising the players, the coach and the support staff for this monumental success.

India had last won a medal in this discipline in 1980 Moscow Games. From then, many generations of players have tried their luck but the medal remained elusive. Finally, in the 2020 Games, the national sport has again become the reason for national joy.
From the Goalkeeper Sreejesh to captain Manpreet, they all were praised and people showered their love on each of them.
