A welcome, furry distraction from political environment and flagging approval ratings has arrived at the White House, with the US President introducing the residence’s newest inhabitant Monday- a puppy named ”Commander.”
The three-month-old puppy named "Commander" is a gift to Biden from his brother and sister-in-law, James and Sara Biden.

After adopting a rescue dog, Major and housing another Shepherd Champ, the Bidens introduced their third member from the same breed. Welcoming the pup on social media, Joe said he has been named ‘Commander’.
On Monday, the US president introduced the new White House resident, a three-month-old pure-bred German Shepherd, who was spotted playing on the South Lawn of the compound with a tennis ball in mouth. “Hey, pal,” Biden said to the pup, rubbing its head in a video posted to his Twitter and Instagram account. “How you doing? How are you?”
The Democrat then shared a video introducing him tossing a ball to Commander and walking the leashed dog into the White House.

In the clip, the US President Biden walks over to the four-legged Commander, saying, "Hey, pal." The clip also shows Biden throwing a ball for the new dog, who later enters the White House led on a leash by Biden, alongside his wife Jill.
