How this Rajasthan's 'Super 30' is helping underprivileged students to become doctors

An NGO in Rajasthan's Barmer is offering help to medical aspirants from weaker sections of the society. The NGO selects 50 best students and provides free lodging, food and other basic needs free of cost.
Rajasthan 'Fifty Villagers' institute trains them for the National Eligibility Entrance Test ( NEET) for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. In the last six years, 41 students have cracked medical exams while 38 others have joined other aligned courses like veterinary science, Ayurveda and lab technician courses.

"My family's primary source of income is agriculture.The family's condition was not good that could support my studies. I came to know about 'Fifty Villagers' when I passed Class 10th. I had to clear the entrance test and then they verified my economic condition," said Ganpat, a student.
"It is imperative to educate everyone to build our nation. Education is key to nation-building. It is not important to become a bureaucrat or doctor after taking education. We have to put ourselves as educated people by serving humanity in society. We should make ourselves to able to face challenges like natural calamity and threat to humanity", ‘Fifty Villagers’ founder, Dr. Bharat Saran, said.
The nation needs more such institutions that can empower students from poor families.
