India lost its ‘nightingale’ Lata Mangeshkar on Sunday. Tributes are pouring in for the melody queen from across the world.
Fans from around the globe are paying their last respects to the legendary singer in different ways, some of them by singing her melodious songs, among them is a student of Hindi in France who sang a beautiful song "Ajeeb Daastan hai yeh" to pay her tribute.

Gabrielle Sandman, a student of Hindi in France, sang "Ajeeb Daastan hai yeh" to pay homage to the singing stalwart.

Indian Embassy in France also offered their condolence over the legendary singer's demise.

An era comes to an end as Nightingale of India, Queen of Melody, Bharat Ratna #LataMangeshkar passes away; Irreplaceable loss for the nation & music world. She was conferred with France's highest civilian award, « Officier de la Legion d'Honneur » in 2009, mentioned Indian Embassy in France.

Ambassador of France to India, Emmanuel Lenain also tweeted on Sunday that he was deeply saddened by the demise of the 92-year-old singer.
"Deeply saddened by the demise of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. An institution in herself, she was conferred Officier de la Legion d’Honneur’ in recognition of her incomparable singing career. Our heartfelt condolences to her loved ones and fans across the world," wrote Emmanuel Lenain.

Meanwhile, Gabrielle Sandman, a student of Hindi in France is also being praised a lot and loved by the audience on social media.
