Tamil Nadu's 'Army Village' aspirants express discontent over Agnipath scheme

In Tamil Nadu's Vellore, the village nicknamed Ranuva Pettai in Vellore’s Kaniyambadi block carries a legacy of several war veterans and soldiers. The youngsters of the village expressed disappointment over Centre’s Agnipath scheme saying it sowed seeds of uncertainty over their aspirations and future. For the youngsters of this village, enrolling in army would serve the dual purpose of serving the nation and ensuring livelihood.
