Tensions between Washington and Tehran have spilled into the diplomatic arena after Russia’s envoy in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, sharply criticized the United States’ approach toward Iran. Calling out what he described as “blackmailing, ultimatums and deadlines,” Ulyanov argued that America’s long-standing strategy of negotiating from a position of strength has failed against Tehran.
