West Bengal polls: EC decides to station only paramilitary forces around polling stations

Several incidents have come to light in West Bengal where crude bombs have been discovered over the past week. Due to this, the Election Commission has decided to station only paramilitary forces within the parameters of the polling stations. No state police will be allowed within 100 metres of the poll booths.The decision has been taken keeping in mind the kind of political violence that unfolds in West Bengal during elections.
