I-T department officials raid Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (VSEZ)

The Income Tax Department (ITD) on Thursday launched multiple raids on export oriented units at Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (VSEZ) at Duvvada. The income tax officials also raided the Chartered Accountant house at MVP Colony on Thursday morning. The officials checked documents related to export as some irregularities were reported. There is no confirmation as to whether the irregularities were detected or any official papers were seized. The officials said that the searches are being conducted at the premises of at least four business groups in Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh.
