Shalin Bhanot, who recently made an appearance on Laughter Chefs 3, opened up about his personal and professional life in a new podcast. He shared details about his life after his separation from
Dalljiet Kaur and revealed how it was one of the most difficult phases of his life. The actor recalled the tough time during the Abraa Ka Dabra Show with Paras Chhabra.
While talking about his separation from Dalljiet, he said, “Aisa laga tha ki life khatam ho gayi hai.” He further mentioned how the constant attention, judgment, and media scrutiny left him feeling helpless. He added, “Mujhe aisa laga ki jeevan ab khatm ho gaya hai.” Shalin shared that he later left Mumbai for Jabalpur for a brief period as he was struggling emotionally. He said, “Main bahot hatash ho ke Jabalpur chala gaya.”
The two also discussed their
Bigg Boss days, spiritual journeys, and much more. While Shalin shared how he would calm himself by singing devotional songs, Paras mentioned that he would never do Bigg Boss again, as the show led him into depression and took a toll on his mental health.
Shalin’s candid revelation struck a chord with many fans, who flooded the comments section with supportive messages.
One user wrote, “It takes courage to talk openly about such difficult phases.” Another commented, “People often forget celebrities are human too. Hope he is doing much better now.” A fan said, “No matter what happened, no one deserves to go through so much emotional pain.” Several others praised Shalin for being honest about his struggles and appreciated him for discussing mental health publicly.
Shalin Bhanot and Dalljiet Kaur got married in 2009. The couple later welcomed their son, Jaydon, in 2014. However, their relationship eventually faced challenges. In 2015, Dalljiet filed for divorce, alleging domestic violence and cruelty against Shalin. He, however, denied the accusations. The two have since moved on with their lives and continue to co-parent Jaydon.
