Ruhaanika Dhawan: I am excited to break the image people have of me as a child artiste
Known to audiences as Ruhi from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, actress Ruhaanika Dhawan says joining Khatron Ke Khiladi came at the perfect time as she balances acting with academics. Currently pursuing a BBA programme, the actress shared that the stunt-based reality show fits neatly into her summer break plans. “The show couldn’t have come at a better time because my summer break has just begun,” she said.
The actress revealed that she sought advice from actors close to her, including Divyanka Tripathi and Aly Goni, who told her the show is “more mental than physical.” She shared, “I asked them for tips and they all told me that it’s more mental than it is physical. So, it’s about calming myself down, focusing on what is to be done and being present in the moment when I am doing the tasks.”
Ruhaanika also highlighted the responsibility that comes with being the youngest contestant in the show’s history. “I am the youngest one in the history of the show, and that gives me more responsibility to outperform the other contestants,” she said.
Despite her focus on academics, the actress stressed that acting remains central to her career plans. “I am excited to break the image people have of me. I want the audience to see me beyond being a child artiste, as Ruhaanika, who is ready to face her fears, ready to perform stunts and push her limits,” she said.
