Berlin restaurant treats the homeless this Christmas

It's a Christmas miracle for 150 homeless people in Berlin. The biggest restaurant in the city, Hofbraeu Berlin has decided to shelter 150 homeless people for Christmas this year. The restaurant is known for its Bavarian style beer halls that can hold upto 3000 guests at a time, but due to restrictions in the pandemic, it was forced to shut in early November.
According to the restaurant manager, you can find amazing dishes here during Christmas, which includes half a duck or goose, but currently that is not happening. However the restaurant collaborated with the city, and welfare organisations so that they can open their doors to 2000 to 12000 homeless people.

The homeless people will get a Christmas treat that will be served on porcelain plates, including side dishes.
Homeless folks in Berlin would be delighted to know that it is not the regular soup that the restaurant is offering during this festive season. Instead there's a choice of food. You can take your pick from a Thuringia bratwurst with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut, of a vegetarian stew with potatoes and vegetables. Not just this but they will also be treated with apple strudel.

Not just food, but homeless people are also permitted to wash up and are offered warm clothes during this time. It is really a noble cause, and a good way to make use of the downtown that has been caused by the pandemic. After all, Christmas is a time to share and care for everyone around you, and what better way than to help the homeless?
