The Mumbai airport has come up with a unique initiative to make check-in for airline passengers a breeze and save their precious time. Reportedly, six posh hotels near Mumbai airport have now been outfitted with facility to check-in as well as collect boarding pass and baggage tag. Read less
The chosen hotels are namely Hyatt Regency, Taj Santacruz, Hilton Mumbai International Airport, ITC Maratha, Sahara Star and The Lalit. According to news reports, five more hotels will be chosen for this job in near future. However, there were already three hotels/lounges situated on the airport premises that were one of the first to provide check-in kiosks.
Currently, a fully automated check-in facility is available only at Mumbai airport’s Terminal 1. Almost all domestic, economy airlines like SpiceJet, GoAir, and Indigo provide self-bag drop system to their passengers.
