“Boycotting the ENTIRE Super Bowl”: Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA takes on Bad Bunny as fans vow to skip Super Bowl
Fans are calling for a Super Bowl boycott after Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA confirmed an alternative “All-American Halftime Show” airing opposite Bad Bunny’s NFL performance. Social media users say they will skip the halftime show or the entire game, accusing the NFL of ignoring their values. The backlash highlights a growing cultural divide surrounding the Super Bowl LX broadcast.
Super Bowl Sunday usually unites fans around one screen. This year, it is doing the opposite. As anticipation builds for Super Bowl LX, a growing group of viewers is openly rejecting the NFL’s halftime show featuring Bad Bunny. Instead of tuning in, many say they plan to switch channels, mute the broadcast, or skip the game entirely. The backlash has spilled across social media, where frustration has turned into calls for an outright boycott. What began as criticism of the NFL’s entertainment choice has now become a cultural protest. Fans argue the halftime show no longer reflects them, and they are making that point loudly. The reaction gained momentum after Turning Point USA confirmed it would air an alternative “All-American Halftime Show” at the exact same time as the NFL broadcast.

Fans vow to boycott Super Bowl halftime and tune out Bad Bunny

Social media posts responding to Turning Point USA’s announcement reveal just how far some viewers are willing to go. One user, Renatta, wrote, “This is what I will be watching instead of the SB halftime show.” Another supporter, Jake Coco, added, “Need a simultaneous tribute sip somewhere in there.”The enthusiasm only grew. Jack Diven declared, “AND HERE IT IS! This is going to be amazing. Who else is switching over to this during the Super Bowl?” For others, the protest goes beyond halftime.
America Forever posted, “I dont have a religious bone in my body - faith is a gift I have yet to receive - but Charlie spoke truth, and TPUSA continues that mission… this will be the only thing I watch - not even the game.”Some comments were more direct. Sleazebag Don reminded viewers, “If you are watching the Super Bowl, don’t forget get to close whatever streaming app you are using before halftime.” Tipodis D. Devil joked, “How many fireworks will Erika Kirk come out to? And can we bet on it?”
Others framed their stance as a boycott. Traci Ross wrote, “Cannot wait. Boycotting the ENTIRE Super Bowl … because of their WOKE entertainment choice.” Sean echoed that sentiment, saying, “This is where everyone should go instead of that dress wearing, non English speaking garbage that will be the halftime show.” Rand Matthews summed it up simply: “I will be watching THIS instead of Bad Bunny!”Turning Point USA confirmed the alternative broadcast will stream across multiple platforms on February 8. There are several ways to watch TPUSA’s halftime show, with YouTube being the most familiar. The organization plans to stream it on its own YouTube channel as well as the Charlie Kirk Show’s YouTube channel. With no performer revealed yet, the message alone seems enough. For these fans, skipping Bad Bunny is the statement.
