Vidarbha on the other hand were made to toil hard in the field in the first half of Day 3 but soon, they managed to pick up wickets in clusters. Harsh Dubey was the standout as he picked up a five-wicket haul but the pacers were pretty average. They need to pull off a miracle if they are to get their hands on that trophy and a lot will depend on how the top order plays. Mumbai had a phenomenal outing with the bat on Day 3 and the game moved at a brisk pace. There were two big partnerships that put Mumbai in command as Musheer Khan got a gem of a ton and became the youngest to do so for Mumbai in the Final since Sachin Tendulkar. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Shreyas Iyer missed out on tons and the latter played a poor shot while being on 95. There was decent resistance from the lower order as well to take the lead well beyond 500 runs and they will look to bowl out the opposition on Day 4 itself.

For Vidarbha, Harsh Dubey was undoubtedly the pick of the bowlers. He starred for Vidarbha with a fifer, ably supported by Yash Thakur and Aman Mokhade in the bowling attack. They came to bat with only 2 overs left in the day's play. Shams Mulani bowled the first over and conceded 4 runs, while Shardul bowled the final over and gave away 6 runs. Dhruv Shorey and Atharva Taide will look to build on a gritty stand now and claw their way in the game slowly.

Mumbai were excellent with the bat which puts them in the commanding position as of now. Their openers, Prithvi Shaw and Bhupen Lalwani fell early, but Musheer Khan and skipper Ajinkya Rahane staged a strong comeback. Rahane's crucial half-century steadied Mumbai to 141/2 by the end of day two. Despite Rahane's dismissal on day three, Shreyas Iyer and Musheer Khan built a solid partnership, with Iyer falling just short of a century. Mumbai's lower order contributed, with Musheer scoring a remarkable 136 before getting out. Shams Mulani's gritty innings further boosted Mumbai's total, giving them a lead of 537 runs! They failed to pick any wickets in the two overs that they bowled. They will be looking to grab some quick wickets at the start of Day 4 and put their hands on the trophy!
