We are back for the chase. Samson leads his team out. David Warner and Prithvi Shaw are the openers for Delhi. Trent Boult is ready to steam in.
... THE RUN CHASE ...
222-2! Highest score in #TATAIPL this season. Some serious hitting there by @rajasthanroyals as they posts a to… https://t.co/hMYvCyT3ch

Once they got their eye in, they were toying with the bowlers. It was raining boundaries. The two added a 150-plus run stand. Devdutt Padikkal fell but Buttler continued and got up yet another ton. Samson too continued the good work from the openers and played a brilliant cameo. Rajasthan will be very pleased with the total they have.
Now the target is a big one, the wicket is flat but Delhi have to bat really well against a strong bowling attack. They’ll need someone to match Buttler if they are to chase this down. Can they do so?
Devdutt Padikkal is down for a chat. He says Wankhede has a good wicket to bat on and they just needed to get into the rhythm. Adds that they knew the bowlers they needed to target and feel happy to get back along with the runs. Feels 180-190 as a decent total and feels like a defendable total. Jokes and says he even asked Buttler, is it that easy to bat.
The Delhi bowlers, after a brilliant outing in the last game, have been taken to the cleaners in this one. All their bowlers had no answers to the carnage from the Rajasthan batters. However, not sure why Thakur wasn’t given his full quota. He bowled two good overs but ended up bowling only 3. Overall though, Delhi were not only poor with the ball but also on the field. They do have a fiery batting line-up and are well and truly capable of chasing this down.
How good is that man? How good is Jos Buttler? What a season he is having, back-to-back tons and he is the reason yet again as to why Rajasthan have ended with a mammoth total. The highest total in this edition so far!
Shardul Thakur to Sanju Samson, SIX! Maximum to end the innings! A full toss, easy on the legs. Samson wrists it, high and handsomely over mid-wicket for a biggie. Rajasthan end on 222 for 2.
Shardul Thakur to Sanju Samson, FOUR! Edgy! A length ball, outside off. Samson looks to cut but gets a bottom edge to short third man where the fielder dives over the ball.
Shardul Thakur to Shimron Hetmyer, A low full toss, on middle. Hetmyer pulls it to deep mid-wicket for a single.
Shardul Thakur to Sanju Samson, Full ball, angling across. Samson hits it to deep mid-wicket. A single.
Shardul Thakur to Sanju Samson, Wide! Full again, slanting way outside off, over the tramline. A wide given.
Shardul Thakur to Sanju Samson, FOUR! Bang! Too full and outside off. Samson thumps it to long off for a boundary.
Shardul Thakur to Sanju Samson, Full ball, outside off. Samson looks to go big but slices it in the air and to covers. The deep cover fielder charges forward but collects it on a bounce. There is a run out chance but Hetmyer is in. Two runs.
Shimron Hetmyer walks out to bat now. Also, Shardul Thakur comes back to bowl the final over of the innings.
Shardul Thakur to Sanju Samson, Wide! Full and angling wide outside off. Samson swings and misses.
