Opener Jos Buttler smashed a scintillating 83 not out off 52 balls as England clinched the third T20I of the 5-match series to go 2-1 up in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Chasing a moderate target of 157 England achieved the win with 8 wickets and 10 balls to spare. Wicketkeeper-batsman Buttler was in top gear as he took bowlers to the cleaners, singlehandedly taking the game away from India. The 30-year-old gave Virat Kohli and Co. no opportunity to bounce back in the match after an average outing with the bat. Buttler's sensational knock was complemented by a 28-ball 40 from Jonny Bairstow in the middle. Earlier, India once again suffered a horrendous start after losing the toss, setting up the recipe for a disaster in the third game of the series. After losing top three inside the powerplay overs, it was Kohli's unbeaten 77 that dragged Team India to 156/6. The top order collapse followed by a weak performance from the middle order that never allowed India to get the required momentum for a big total. Kohli and Hardik Pandya's 70-run partnership off 33 balls took India to a respectable total but they eventually fell short by a long way.
