Now, a chip packet had come onto the playing area. Play and a miss for Smith as he tries to swing it away. It goes from him a few yards and then stops. Smith walks across, stops it with his bat, picks it up and then hands it to the umpire. More drama! Broad comes running in but Labuschagne stops him as another biscuit wrapper flows across the field! Broad is charging in midway but Labuschagne says he cannot help it. The bails now fall down at the non-striker's end. Oh dear... this is hilarious. The umpire puts the bails back at the bowler's end but now, the bails at Labuschagne's end go down! The batsman himself has to put it on. Now, umpire Kumar Dharmasena does a sensible thing. he walks across to Labuschagne and takes the bails off. So at the striker's end, the stumps are without bails. Broad is amused.

S Broad to Labuschagne, FOUR LEG BYES! Was it a case for LBW? Broad and Root have a thought but do not go for the review. A length ball, around middle, Labuschagne gets across to flick but misses. The ball goes off his pads past the diving Bairstow, to his left and races to the fine leg fence. Ball Tracker shows it to be missing leg stump.
S Broad to Labuschagne, Outside off, left alone.
S Broad to Smith, Not a bad ball at all from Broad. He slows down his pace a touch and targets the middle stump. Smith is early into position and flicks this from middle stump, through mid-wicket. The players are back out again. England will not mind this one bit. When the rain arrived, the pitch was not covered. And when the cover did come onto the pitch, the rain had stopped. So that would have disturbed the playing surface. Meanwhile, the sun has started to peek in as well.
Oh dear.... Smith starts to walk off with the breeze getting way too heavy. But the square leg umpire stops him. Now, the heavens open up and it starts raining pretty heavily! Off go the players but hey - it has stopped raining! This will not be a big delay at all. Only the hover cover in place.
