HISAR: Family members of pugilist Jai Bhagwan were saddened after he crashed out of London Olympics, bowing out in the pre-quarterfinals of the men's light weight category (60 kg) on Thursday.
Bhagwan's mother, Veermati and father Raj Pal, left their TV room and started weeping in their room after his defeat in the match. Starting on an impressive note, Bhagwan later lost steam in the second and third rounds to go down 8-16 to Gani Zhailauov of Kazakhstan at the ExCel arena.

"Bhagwan gave the Kazakh a tough fight, but I think he had hard luck this time. I am sure he will perform better next time," said Raj Pal.
Bhagwan's mother, Veermati said, "Kya hua aaj haar gaya to. Agli baar sabko hara dega aur pakka Bharat ke liye medal lekar hi lautega (So what, if he lost this time. Next time, he will bring a medal for the country by defeating all competitors)."
