“I never studied 15 or 12 hours, but I…”: Teen who scored 99.2% in class 10th shares 5 practical study tips
Scoring big in exams is often associated with endless study hours, and “giving up everything else in life.” However, some toppers prove that success does not always come from studying day and night, instead it comes from smart preparation and maintaining a balance.
Class 10th student Sanvi Ladha proved this by scoring 99.2% marks in her board exams. In a recent video on her Instagram, the little girl shared that she never believed in extreme study schedules and revealed the habits that helped her create a balance in her journey and made her achieve a remarkable score.
Here are five important lessons from her journey that many students and parents can learn from:
One of the biggest misconceptions around board exams is that students need to study for extremely long hours every single day. Sanvi says she never followed that approach. She emphasised that quality matters far more than quantity.
Her approach highlights an important lesson for students: building small, regular study habits over time is often more powerful than exhausting marathon study sessions.
While many students stop all recreational activities during exams, Sanvi chose a different path. She continued doing the things she enjoyed. “I did everything I loved. It refreshed my mind and relaxed my brain and overall made me study better,” says Sanvi.
Sanvi also shared an honest perspective about social media. She admitted that she did not completely cut herself off from social media because, according to her, “even I couldn’t do it.” However, she stressed the importance of limiting it because she believes, “social media will make you procrastinate and lose focus.”
Among all the tips she shared, Sanvi strongly emphasised the importance of self-study. She explained that teachers, schools, and coaching institutes can guide students, but true understanding comes when students sit down on their own and study independently. “Read chapters, make notes, and learn from your mistakes,” suggests Sanvi.
Sanvi believes persistence matters more than anything. Her journey shows that showing up consistently and putting in honest efforts matter more than anything else.
Lastly, Sanvi also highlights how the adults around her never made her feel pressured. Her experience highlights how supportive parenting and reduced academic pressure can positively impact a child’s confidence and performance.
