As a man who died days after participating in the vaccine trial in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Prabhu Ram Chaudhary on Saturday said that the after-effects of vaccination are visible in a person within 30 minutes and the post-mortem report suggests poisoning. "The after-effects of vaccination are visible in a person within 30 minutes. No side-effects were seen even between 24 and 48 hours of vaccination, the post-mortem report suggested poisoning," said Chaudhary. "According to the deceased's wife, the foam was seen in his mouth before he died. I will further inform you about the matter," he added

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking to expedite a shipment of 2 million doses of AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine produced by the Serum Institute of India, the presidential press office said on Friday.

The date for rollout of the vaccine was decided at a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Modi to review the status of Covid-19 in the country and the preparedness of states/UTs for the vaccination drive. The first to get the vaccine will be the healthcare workers and the frontline workers, who are estimated to be around 3 crores in number.

Emergency use authorisation or accelerated approval has been granted by the national regulator for two vaccines (Covishield and Covaxin) which have established safety and immunogenicity.
