Coronavirus: UP's Ghaziabad once again a 'red' zone

As many as 5,609 new Covid-19 cases were reported in India in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the country to 1,12,359. Out of the total cases, 63,624 are active cases, 45,300 patients have been cured/discharged or have migrated and 3,435 deaths have been reported. Stay here for all live updates

4-5 lakh passengers have booked tickets in special trains within less than two hours. Reverse booking has also started. Running of more trains will be announced: Piyush Goyal

Booking of train tickets will resume at around 1.7 lakh common service centres from tomorrow across the country. Bookings will also resume at counters of different stations in the next 2-3 days. We are developing a protocol in this regard.

Ministry of Civil Aviation issues general instructions for domestic travellers. Only those passengers with confirmed web check-in will be allowed to enter the airport. Passengers will be required to wear protective gear (face mask). Only one check-in bag will be allowed.

Tamil Nadu Govt permits resumption of shooting for television serials. The move comes as a major relief for television channels, for several of which television soaps were the staple diet.

While shootings can take place only indoors, outdoor shoots can take place in rural areas. Maximum of 20 people are allowed to be present, while producers have to adhere to social distancing norms and other Covid protocol in place.

Five new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Hamirpur, according to District Collector Harikesh Meena. With this, the number of cases has reached 126 in Himachal Pradesh out of which 69 cases are active.
