SEBA HSLC Result 2022 (Declared) LIVE Updates: 56.49% pass Assam HSLC exam 2022, Raktotpal Saikia tops

Raktotpal Saikia of St. Mary's High School, North Lakhimpur is the state topper. He scored 99.5 per cent aggregate marks. Bhuyashi Medhi of Little Flowers School, Nalbari came second with 99.33 per cent. Mridupawan Kalita of Don Bosco High School, Kheroni (West Karbi Anglong), Labeeb Muzib of Don Bosco HS School, Boiragimath (Dibrugarh) and Partha Pratim Das from Lohit Dikrong HS School, Bihpuria (Lakhimpur) jointly shared the third rank by scoring 99.16 per cent.

Dhemaji district scored the best pass percentage with 85.46, whereas Chirang district settled at the bottom of the tally with 34.27 per cent.

Total of 14,047 students secured star marks (450 and above out of 600), whereas 8,373 excelled with distinction marks (510 and above) in the HSLC examination.

Overall, 4.05 lakh students appeared in the HSLC examination, of whom 65,176 passed with first division, while 99,854 and 64,101 cleared with second and third division respectively.

In the Assam results declared for Class 10 today, the boys outshone girls with a pass percentage of 58.80 per cent. The pass percentage of girls stood at 54.49 per cent.

Last year, the pass percentage in Assam class X board exam results was recorded at 93.10 from 64.80 recorded in 2020. The primary reason for this was not conducting the exams offline and the result was declared based on internal assessments.

Assam's overall pass percentage in this year's High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination has been 56.49, a decline in result graph for the first time in the last five years.
