Instead of throwing a grand birthday bash in Mumbai, like every year, Karan Johar decided to bring in his 43rd birthday in the UK. The director-producer celebrated the occasion with some close friends including his Bombay Velvet co-star Ranbir Kapoor, director Ayan Mukherjee, Shweta Bachchan and few others at the Clarifges Hotel Mayfair in London. He also found company in Shilpa Shetty and her entrepreneur husband, Raj Kundra. Shilpa posted a picture with the birthday boy on her Instagram account. She also tweeted, "Happy happy birthday @karanjohar what fun it was last night.Wishing u all the love luck and success, have a cracking year." [sic]
