‘It’s all nonsense’: Rakesh Roshan REACTS to Rs 500 crore ‘Krrish 4’ rumours; Confirms Hrithik Roshan film is on track
Expectations are high for the fourth installment of Hrithik Roshan's 'Krrish' and recent reports connected to the film sparked major discussions across social media and entertainment circles. Speculation had suggested that the superhero project was facing financial hurdles and possible creative disagreements during its development stage. Several reports also claimed that Hrithik Roshan had allegedly requested a huge budget for the film because of its ambitious scale.

Rakesh Roshan dismisses claims linked to massive budget

Rakesh Roshan has now addressed the reports and rejected the rumours connected to the film. The filmmaker clarified that the project has not been dropped and denied claims related to Hrithik's alleged budget demands. During a recent interaction with Mid Day, he reacted to reports claiming that Hrithik had requested nearly Rs 500 crore for large-scale visual effects and extensive action sequences. "It's all nonsense." With this response, Rakesh directly dismissed the speculation and indicated that inaccurate information had been circulating regarding the film.

Reports had suggested financial and creative hurdles

For the past several months, multiple reports claimed that the project had encountered delays because of financial planning and creative concerns. Discussions also suggested that budgeting issues had become a major topic among those associated with the film. There were reports linking producer Aditya Chopra to conversations surrounding possible cost limitations for the project.
However, Rakesh Roshan explained that such assumptions should not be accepted as confirmed developments.

Hrithik Roshan's commitments also discussed

The veteran filmmaker also spoke about the process involved in making films on a larger scale. According to him, projects of this nature require planning and patience before moving forward. He explained that earlier films from the franchise also took time before reaching audiences. Rakesh also spoke about Hrithik Roshan's current schedule and mentioned that the actor remains occupied with other responsibilities. "Krrish [Hrithik] is on another planet and we are all waiting for his dates,"

Hrithik Roshan's directorial debut continues generating excitement

Earlier in 2025, Rakesh Roshan officially announced that Hrithik Roshan would make his directorial debut with 'Krrish 4'. The announcement created significant excitement because it would mark a new phase in Hrithik's career. Apart from leading the film as an actor, he would also take charge behind the camera.Sharing the announcement on social media, Rakesh had written, "Duggu 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4."Recently, Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan recently revealed that he would love to play a character like Zaffar from 'Luck By Chance' once again. In a social media post, the actor admitted that the thought surprised even him, as he had never consciously considered it before. And I surprised myself when it came to me. Remember Zaffar from luck by chance ? That’s the one. I’d jump on something like that . But directors only wanna see me play the good guy. Sad. (sic).” The post soon attracted reactions from people within the film industry and from fans.Director Zoya Akhtar also joined the conversation and wrote, "Let’s get that coffee."
