Fighter Movie Review and Box Office Collection Updates: Day 1 box office of this Hrithik-Deepika film is similar to Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki'
The long wait for Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's 'Fighter' has finally ended with the film ready to fly into theatres today!Exactly one year after jolting the Indian box office to life with his Rs 1,000 crore blockbuster 'Pathaan', director Siddharth Anand is set to launch his new film, billed as a tribute to the sacrifice and patriotism of the Indian Armed Forces. The film, loosely based on the Balakot airstrikes post the Pulwama attack in 2019, will see Hrithik take on the role of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, aka "Patty", while Deepika takes on the role of Squadron Leader Minal "Minni" Rathore.The movie, that is one of the biggest releases this year, has faced its fair share of controversy prior to its relaese. Post the trailer launch, many compared the film with the Billion dollar Tom Cruise-starrer 'Top Gun'. However, shutting down the claims, director Anand said, "It has nothing to do with 'Top Gun', except for the fact that there are aircrafts in both the films... The similarity ends at those planes." The film also faced some roadblocks with the CBFC demanding a few cuts over some 'sexually suggestive' scenes in the film among other dialogue changes. The film was granted a U/A certificate and has a runtime of 2 hours and 40 minutes. Just days ahead of the film's release, it hit another hurdle, with the Gulf countries imposing a ban on the film. On Thursday, it was reported that even UAE has 'suspended' screenings of the film, significantly denting its box office prospects. However, despite the roadblocks, the film is reportedly eyeing a Rs 100 crore weekend at the Indian box office over the Republic Day extended weekend. The film is reprotedly set to make an impressive start with an opening day collection of around Rs 30 crore.'Fighter' also stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi and Sanjeeda Shaikh in major roles.

On the release day of Fighter, Deepika Padukone was spotted wearing beige pants paired with a white shirt and beige sweater. She made an appearance at the special screening of the film, which was also attended by Hrithik Roshan, Imran Khan, Arjun Kapoor , Sonam Kapoor, Bipasha Basu etc. Interestingly, for this outing, Deepika decided to repeat her outfit from January 15, when she was spotted at the airport. The only difference between the two looks was her choice of footwear, at the fighter event she wore sandals while at the airport she sported leather boots. Fighter' advance booking day 2: Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer pockets Rs 6 crore for Republic Day
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, as on January 25, 'Fighter' has managed to sell only about 1.8 lakh tickets, collecting Rs 6 crore in advance booking for day two. The 3D version contributed the majority amount to the overall collection. The future of the film will mostly depend on word of mouth publicity and how it performs on Thursday.

The trade considers this number less hence the film will rely on walk-in audience throughout the day to get a decent opening number. It's expected that the numbers will start coming in by today evening and night shows since tomorrow, January 26 is a holiday. Around 1.4 lakh tickets of the film have been sold in PVRINOX and Cinepolis. The revenue so far generated from the advance bookings is Rs 7.50 crore gross and these numbers do not live up for a Hrithik Roshan movie directed by Sidharth Anand with Deepika Padukone as the female lead.

Just a few days ago, the film ran into choppy waters with the Central Board of Film Certification wherein the makers were asked to delete a few shots, while awarding it a U/A certificate. Issues with CBFC isn’t something new for Siddharth Anand, he had trouble with them even during Pathaan wherein 10 cuts were made by the board. But unlike last time when Deepika Padukone’s orange dress had become a hot topic, the changes here have been done voluntarily. A source exclusively told ETimes, "The song ‘Ishq Jaisa’, which was about two and a half minutes long, was voluntarily cut by the makers because it was slowing down the tempo of the film."

'Fighter' had undergone four modifications as part of the censor process. The latest update reveals that the makers decided to remove the song 'Ishq Thoda Thoda Dono Jagah,' with a duration of 2 minutes and 38 seconds. The CBFC granted approval for the deletion on Monday, January 22, resulting in a revised run time of 163.55 minutes, equivalent to 2 hours, 43 minutes, and 55 seconds.Initially, "Fighter" had a duration of 166.35 minutes, or 2 hours, 46 minutes, and 35 seconds.

Like (superhero film) 'Krrish' had a cape and a costume and when I wore that, I felt strong. In 'Lakshya', when I wore the uniform (of an Indian Army officer), it gave me strength."The actor went on to add, "And in 'Fighter', when I wore the uniform, I felt a responsibility, weight and strength.
