Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, starring
Hrithik Roshan,
Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, is touted to be 2024’s first big ticket action film. A lot is expected from it as the director is returning after two back to back hits - War and Pathaan. This movie also marks Siddharth's third collaboration with Hrithik Roshan post the success of Bang Bang and War. But somehow the film has not generated enough buzz in North America.
In India, the film has managed to sell tickets worth Rs 8.4 crore in advance booking across single screens and multiplexes for its opening day, with the 3D version contributing the maximum share of Rs 4.3 crore and even the IMAX version getting a collection of Rs 58 lakhs, reports Sacnilk. As for North America, ahead of its release Fighter managed to sell tickets worth US $ 300,000 ( Rs 2.5 crore) and this despite huge numbers of IMAX and PLF format shows being lined up. The initial booking trend looks slow and a lot will not depend on the word of mouth on the film.

Fighter Movie Review and Release LIVE Updates Fighter: Hrithik Roshan brings Anil Kapoor to tears while Deepika Padukone consoles him | Watch
Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone have united for the first time for 'Fighter'. Speaking about his shoot experience, Hrithik said, "With Deepika, it became really easy because she brings realism to her work, so I was consciously just bouncing off her bat, each line she says is coming from a deep place and I could tell this is real, and if I don't maintain that I might look like I am overdoing things, so I had to make sure I am acting that frequency. Thanks to her, every scene between Patty and Minni looks so extremely vulnerable, extremely endearing and very, very real."
