BENGALURU:Targeting of AAP national leaders in Delhi and Punjab by the BJP government doesn’t affect the party’s campaign for Karnataka polls, said Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday. On the sidelines of his party’s campaign for Dasarahalli candidate Kirthan Kumar Manjappa, Mann said leaders like Raghav Chadda and Sanjay Singh will visit Karnataka.
“Putting those who built schools and hospitals behind the bars displays a sign of frustration,” he said. Asked about the party’s chances of winning in Karnataka, Mann did not give a number. “We don’t come in any survey but directly in the sarkaar (government). Even in Delhi, no survey said that a government will be formed. Nor did surveys predict our victory in Punjab. You know how surveys are done,” he said.
Stating that their agenda is health, education, infrastructure, electricity and water, he said other parties are spreading hatred. “Some accuse us of being a B team for BJP or Congress, but we are actually the A team of the 130-crore people in India. We want people to win. We have not come to defeat a BJP or Congress. We are here to give victory to people,” he said. A large number of people took part in the march in Dasarahalli from Hegganahalli Indira Canteen to Duggalamma temple, a 3-km stretch.
