Alliance tallies shift across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the numbers are moving quickly. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats make a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller-party candidates cumulatively lead in enough seats to hold a tally of 115, just three short of that mark, with 10 seats already decided in their favour. SPA has a tally of 60, having won 7 and leading in 53, while NDA is at 55, all of them leads so far. In West Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark of 148 in a 294-seat house on the strength of its tally of 179, with 11 seats won and leads in 168 more. TMC trails with a tally of 106, having won 2 and leading in 104. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has won 13 of the 30 seats and leads in 5 more for a tally of 18, already past the majority mark of 16. SPA has a tally of 5 in the union territory. In Kerala, UDF holds a tally of 87 across the 140-seat assembly, with 68 seats won and leads in 19, well past the majority mark of 71. LDF has won 30 and leads in 6 for a tally of 36, trailing considerably. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 in Kerala.
