The state recorded an overall pass percentage of 92.09 per cent in the SSC examinations this year. Compared to last year, the overall pass percentage declined by 2.01 per cent across Maharashtra.
Konkan records highest performance Among all divisions, Konkan registered the highest pass percentage at 97.62 per cent. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar recorded the lowest pass percentage with 88.41 per cent students clearing the examination.
The examinations were conducted in offline mode and included subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and two optional language papers. The question paper pattern included multiple-choice questions along with short and descriptive answers.

Girls once again secured a higher pass percentage than boys in the Maharashtra SSC examinations.
Among fresh regular candidates, girls recorded a pass percentage of 94.96 per cent, while boys achieved 89.56 per cent. The difference between the two stood at 5.40 per cent.

Among the nine divisional boards, Konkan recorded the highest pass percentage with 97.62 per cent. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar recorded the lowest pass percentage at 88.41 per cent.
The Board also released grade-wise performance data for regular students. Over 4.22 lakh students secured first class with distinction by scoring 75 per cent and above.

A total of 179 students secured 100 per cent marks in the SSC examination this year. Among all divisions, Latur recorded the highest number of perfect scorers.

The Maharashtra Board stated that 23,698 secondary schools participated in the SSC examinations this year. Out of these, 6,612 schools achieved a 100 per cent result.
The Board also confirmed that examinations were conducted for 64 subjects across eight mediums, including Marathi, English, Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu, Kannada, Sindhi and Telugu.
Special provisions and additional facilities for students
The Board continued its concession schemes and support measures for students with special needs and co-curricular achievements.
A total of 10,031 differently-abled students registered for the examination. Out of these, 9,912 appeared and 9,042 passed, recording a pass percentage of 91.22 per cent.
Additionally, 2,76,391 students received additional or concessional marks for participation and achievement in activities including sports, NCC, Scout and Guide, classical arts, folk arts and drawing competitions.
ATKT facility and improvement scheme available
The Board stated that 41,065 students are eligible for the ATKT (Allowed To Keep Terms) facility after failing in one or two subjects.
Students who passed all subjects in one attempt are also eligible for the grade improvement scheme. Under this facility, candidates can reappear in the June–July 2026, February–March 2027 and June–July 2027 examinations to improve scores.
Board introduces counselling support after results
Following the declaration of results, the Maharashtra Board launched online counselling support services for students and parents. Ten counsellors have been appointed at the state level to provide academic guidance and emotional support for eight days after the declaration of results.
The Board has also activated helpline support through Tele-MANAS and Manodarshan services. In addition, 315 district-level counsellors have been appointed through the State Council of Educational Research and Training.
Mark verification and photocopy applications begin
Students seeking verification of marks, photocopies of answer sheets or revaluation can apply online through the official Board website.
Applications for photocopies and mark verification will be accepted between May 9 and May 23, 2026. The Board stated that revaluation applications can only be submitted after obtaining photocopies of answer sheets.
For verification of marks, students are required to pay Rs 50 per subject, while photocopies of answer sheets will cost Rs 400 per subject. Revaluation applications carry a fee of Rs 300 per subject.
