A 48-year-old man succumbed to injuries in a clash between two groups at Nernipalli village under V Kota mandal in Chittoor district on Sunday.

TIRUPATI: A 48-year-old man succumbed to injuries in a clash between two groups at Nernipalli village under V Kota mandal in Chittoor district on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Sheik Abdul Yukthiyar.
According to V Kota circle inspector, Sheik Abdul Yukthiyar and his two sons worked as welders. Two days ago, the three were called by one Ameerjan of Nernipalli village for carrying out welding work.

The work was completed within a day and Yukthiyar and his sons received Rs 4,000 upon completion.
On Sunday, Ameerjan who had engaged Yukthiyar and his sons, alleged that the welding work was faulty and demanded they return Rs 2,000.
Yukthiyar and his sons and Ameerjan and some persons supporting him had a heated altercation on the issue and in a clash between both groups, the 48-year-old Yukthiyar, who sustained blows in the attack, collapsed. He was rushed to a nearby government hospital immediately, where doctors declared him brought dead.
V Kota police registered a case following a complaint lodged by family members of the deceased and sent the body for post-mortem.
Police have suspects into custody and are carrying out an investigation.
