Four girls from the city have been selected in the Under-23 west zone team that will play in the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (inter-zonal matches at Raipur between February 16 and 21.

Vadodara: Four girls from the city have been selected in the Under-23 west zone team that will play in the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (Binter-zonal matches at Raipur between February 16 and 21. This is for the first time that four girls including Palak Patel, Tarannum Pathan, Yastika Bhatia and Pragya Rawat from Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) have got a chance to represent the west zone team together.

Ritupurna Roy will accompany the team as a coach. The girls were selected on the basis of their performance in the recently concluded BCCI's Under-23 women's cricket tournament in Mumbai. While Palak scored 125 runs against Saurashtra and 51 against Mumbai, Tarannum scored 71 against Gujarat and 48 against Mumbai. Yastika scored 74 and 61 against Gujarat and Saurashtra consecutively. While Pragya took three wickets and bowled consistently in the tournament.
