Driver nabbed after seven years on the run

Vadodara: A truck driver who had been absconding for seven years in connection with a fatal accident was arrested by the city crime branch after being traced to Ankleshwar, police said on Sunday. The accused has been identified as Sarvajit Singh.Singh was involved in the accident in Oct 2019 while driving from Golden Chowkdi to Ajwa Road. He reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which hit the highway divider, crossed to the opposite lane, and collided head-on with a biker, killing him on the spot.Following the incident, Singh fled, and an FIR was registered against him at Harni police station.
